Stop-gear.-A low-level indicating device for engine lubrication or fuelfeed systems comprises a float e loosely fitted within a float chamber a which communicates at its upper and lower ends with the sump or tank, and which carries two or three fixed electrical contact points g, h one of which is mounted in an insulating bush j, the whole being normally submerged by liquid to minimize surging in the float chamber. Completion of the circuit actuates an alarm or stops the engine by shorting the magneto. Specifications 6865/90 and 3869/15 are referred to.
