Indicators, alarm and signal.-A device for indicating insufficiency of oil in a motor - vehicle engine comprises a vessel A containing a float D and communicating with the engine base at a point midway of its length. The float carries a piece of copper E which makes electric contact with copper slips F when the level of oil descends below a limit indicated by a ring G on the outside of the vessel. A lamp or alarm is placed in the electric circuit to signal the want of oil.
