Abstract

336,881. Hall, H. C. \ Dec. 30, 1929. Alloys.-An alloy particularly suitable for bearing surfaces consists of commercial zinc, together with 8-18 per cent of aluminium, up to 1 per cent of copper, and up to 1 per cent of nickel. Preferably only traces of other elements should be present. The alloy may be made by melting aluminium with copper and nickel, or with copper-aluminium and nickel-aluminium alloys, and finally adding the zinc.
