Abstract

Motors with unwound iron armatures; polepieces.-A phonic motor for synchronizing television apparatus comprises two or more magnets 14, 15, Fig. 2, whose pole-pieces are formed with narrow teeth 12, 13, and a rotor 5 having a number of pointed teeth 16 which is equal to the number of scanning apertures or is a multiple or submultiple thereof, the clearance between the teeth and poles being 0.005 in. In a modification the teeth may be as wide as the slots between them. Specifications 269,834, 275,318 and 320,639, [all in Class 40 (iii), Telegraphs, Electric], are referred to.
