Abstract
336,016. Mitchell, I. July 15, 1929. Stop - motions for fabric-milling machines comprise t1,' friction clutch b, c operated by the pivoted draftboard, which is connected to an arm (not shown) on a slidable and rotatable sleeve d adapted to press, preferably through a thrust-bearing- f, g on the loose pulley c when turned relativelv to a fixed sleeve h thrusting against a shaft-collar a<1>, the sleeves d, h having coacting inclines or curved camfaces d<1>, h<1>. The clutch cone b is axially adjustable on the shaft a, the pulley c being thrust therefrom by a spring k when the draft-board is tilted due to obstruction to the passage of the fabric. Either the shaft a or pulley c may drive. The Provisional Specification states that the sleeve d may be manually rotated and adapted to withdraw the pulley positively.
