335,295. Smith, J. I., Clarke, A. E., and Clarith Reproducers, Ltd. July 5, 1929. Thermionic amplifiers. - In an amplifier divided into two equal paths V, V<1>, v, v<1>, the outputs are combined by subdividing each path into two equal output paths V<2>, V<3>, v<2>, v<3> of opposite phase and directly connecting the outputs of like phase. Loud-speakers may be connected to output terminals 1 - - 4, or a single loud-speaker to terminals 5, 6. Plate voltage is applied to the two valves in the output paths in opposite phase through centre-tapped chokes J, j. According to a modification four loud-speakers may be connected to the output valves (Figs. 2 and 3, not shown).
