Stationary-cutter machines.-In a score-cut setting-machine a backing roll 1, Fig. 1, carriesnarrow adjustable glass-hard liners 2 which cooperate with slitters 3. The liners are adjustable axially and are secured in position by forks 10 which straddle the liners and are secured on a rod 11. The web is wound upon a reel 7. In a modification, Fig 4, the roll 1 carries slitters 2 adjustable by forks 17 and co-operating with backing elements 3. In a further modification, Fig. 11, the liners 2 are secured to rotate with the backing roll 1 by spring pins 29. Specifications 155,227 and 173,589 are referred to.
