Materials, special; seats.-In a valve of type comprising a replaceable and reversible seating 7 clamped between the two parts 2, 4 of the casing, the interior walls of the casing parts are enamelled or metallized, as indicated at 30, to provide for corrosive liquids. The lower bush 14 of the stuffing-box is provided with a projection 29 acting as a stop to limit the lift of the valve, and to prevent the collar 21 of the spindle 12 from coming into contact with the enamelled wall of the casing. The seating plate 7 is packed by rings 8, 28 ensuring a tight joint.
