Abstract

334,082. Gr³ber, P. L. Sept. 23, 1929. Projection-screens. - A spring-roller projection screen is maintained in its extended position by two pairs of struts 7, 7a which are adapted in the rolled-up position of the screen to fold up on the base 1. The struts are hinged together at 8 and to the base member and the cross-bar 5a of the screen at 6, 7<b> and are maintained in extended position either by elastic bands 14 connecting the bar 5a or the base to the next adjacent strut member, or, alternatively, the hinges 8 may be provided with springs tending to open out the struts. Strings 10, passing through a loop 11 on the cross-bar 5a are pulled to break the joints of the struts and allow the spring of the roller to act. The device may be adapted for a screen mounted on a stand 1 as shown or for a screen suspended from above.
