Abstract
345,138. Struts for picture frames &c. CUTLER, A., Grosvenor Works, Moseley Street, Birmingham. April 26, 1930, No. 12890. [Class 52 (v).] A strut is detachably hinged to the back of a picture frame by inserting a hinged tongue, on one part, into a socket secured to the other part, the tongue being kinked to engage under the lower end or with slotted sides of the socket. In the construction shown a hinged wire or strip metal tongue b4 is kinked at its lower end b<5> to under the lower edge of a socket a. In a modification the tongue consisting of a loop of wire is bulged outwards at each side to engage slots in the sides of the socket.
