Abstract

303,988. Wilkinson, W. J. Dec. 7, 1927. Screens, furniture.-A screen consists of a telescopic upright 1, provided with a suitable base and pair of hinged arms 6, which may be jointed and from which curtains are suspended, the arms being held horizontally or folded vertically upwards in line with the upright 1. In the construction shown the arms 6 are provided with elliptical or circular ends 5 pivoted on a common pin 4 extending between plates 3 at the top of the upright 1. The arms are held horizontally by pins 9 extending between the plates 3 and engaging notches 8 in the ends 5. The arms 1 are held vertically by a common spring pressed plunger 10, operated by a lever 12, which engages notches 11 formed in the ends 5.
