Abstract

621,981. Projection screens. TURNER, E. G. Feb. 5, 1947, No. 3484. [Class 97 (i)] In a roller type screen two pairs of links 20, 30 are pivoted to the box and to the top bar 16, the lower links 20 being connected by a spring 25 to erect the screen, the upper links 30 each consisting of an upper rod 32 telescoping into a lower hollow member with a slot 31 through which passes a locking device 33 by which the upper rod may be secured in any desired position. The upper ends of the slots 31 may be closed so that the rods 32 cannot be completely removed. Alternatively, cords at the vertical screen edges secured to the screen roller, or a spring detent engaging a spiral groove in the end of the roller, may limit the total extension of the screen. Specification 3644/39 as open to inspection under Sect. 91 and U.S.A. Specification 1,946,639 are referred to.
