333,981. Ewart, R. D. June 10, 1929. Cutting-machines; moulding butter.-Machines of the kind described in Specifications 322,028 and 323,052 for extruding and cutting butter and like substances are fitted with delivery-apparatus comprising a travelling receiver mounted directly beneath the cutter and moving always in the same direction in a plane parallel to the plane of movement of the cutter. The receiver may be moved by hand but preferably is moved in timed relation with the plunger feed of the extrusion machine and the cutting-apparatus. The rotation of the cam shaft 55 by the handle 56, which operates the pawl 49 to advance the piston rod 26, also operates a bell-crank 62 through the medium of the levers 51<a>, 60 and thus pulls a chain 69 against the action of a restoring spring 70 to operate a one-way clutch 67. The clutch imparts an intermittent rotation to a delivery table 65 mounted on the vertical axis 68.
