Abstract
332,950. Enock, A. Graham-, and Graham-Enock Manufacturing Co., Ltd. March 26, 1929. Divided on 332,912. Sterilizing milk.-In plant in which milk &c. in sealed bottles or containers is passed through a hot air or like dry sterilizing chamber, the bottles enter and leave the chamber through water seals. As applied to the plant described in Specification 332,949 of even date, in which bottles in cages are carried through the plant by endless chains 28, in one form, Fig. 2, the sterilizing chamber 21 is sealed by water in a preheating bath 20 and the first tank 22 of a series of cooling tanks, the bottles being inserted and removed from the cages at the same end A of the plant. In another form, Fig. 3, the bottles are inserted on to the cages at the end A and removed at the end B of the plant. The conveyer runs through a passage 30 beneath the plant, through a water seal in the preheating chamber 25, through the sterilizing chamber 26, and through a water seal in the cooling chamber 27.
