Abstract

332,685. Mellano, A. V. May 29, 1929. Seat attachments.-A pillion seat A is secured upon a motor-cycle mudguard C by straps D and devices adapted to hook over the edge of the guard and clamp the strap. The clamp, Fig. 3, comprises a U-form member E with clamping screw F and a slot E<1> through which the strap D may be pulled. The screw may be placed inside or outside the guard and may bear against the strap, as shown, or against the guard. A spring-washer F<2> may be provided under the milled head F<1> of the screw. The slot E<1> may be formed in one of the limbs of member E. The pillion seat may have a pneumatic cushion as described in Specification 302,425 and 330,566, [both in Class 136 (iii), Cycle &c., Kinds &c. of], or may be combined with a tool box.
