Abstract

354,427. Pillion seat attachments. MELLANO, A. V., 6, Queens Drive, Thames Ditton, Surrey. May 23, 1930, No. 15927. [Class 136 (i).] A clip is slotted to receive a strap attached to a pillion seat, the strap being clamped by the clip against a carrier bar or the beaded edge of a mudguard. The clip may be of the band type, Fig. 1, with the ends drawn together by a bolt B. The strap C passes through slots A<1>, A<2> the edges of which are turned over. Alternatively the clip may comprise a U-shaped member with arms drawn together by one or more bolts G. With this type a single strap slot F<2> is provided, either at the closed end, Fig. 4, or near the open end, Fig. 6. The arms of the U-shaped member may be hinged together. Specification 346,280 is referred to.
