Abstract

408,835. Clips and clamps. THORMANN. B., 25, Wassmannstrasse, Berlin. June 22, 1933, No. 17818. [Class 44.] A mascot, flag, fan, or other ornament e is connected to the mudguard of a bicycle by two plates a and b gripping the mudguard between them, the plate a having attached to it or having formed integral with it the mascot, and being provided with a screw bolt h passing through an aperture i in the plate b and receiving a nut d to clamp the plates together. The gripping faces of the plates are preferably ribbed or otherwise roughened as shown at g and one plate b is provided with a spacing member f for maintaining the plates parallel to each other when applied to the mudguard. A spring washer c may be inserted between the nut d and the plate b. The plates may be curved transversely in conformity with the mudguard.
