Abstract

Clips, band.-In an adjustable band clip in which the band is provided with a succession of holes, a tensioning screw being adapted to engage in any desired hole to effect tightening of the band, the head of the band is formed as a separate member and is secured to the band by soldering, riveting, or hooking. As shown in Fig. 4, one end of the band is formed as a hook, adapted to be engaged in a slot E or a separate slot provided in the head, the other end of the band being passed through the slot E and the band tightened by a screw carried by the head or engaging one of the holes in this end of the band. In the modification, Fig. 7, a tongue L is provided in the slot E adapted to engage the turned-over end of the band. As shown in Fig. 6, the separate head member T is of double. form, the ends of the band being attached to the head of the corresponding screw. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specifications 25855/08 and 12669/12.
