Abstract

207,416. Lavender, E. C. Jan. 10, 1923. Nursery seats; arm-rests.-A collapsable attachment for converting an ordinary chair into a childs' seat comprises a front bar carried by arm-rests and' supporting pillars which may be clamped to the back and seat respectively of the chair. In the form shown the arm-rests e are secured by bands f which are tightened by means of a fly-nut, while the front supports j are provided with screw clamps l to grip the chain seat. The parts are connected by a hinged member n the stem of which passes through slots cut longitudinally in the ends of the arm-rests and front bar a, while the head o is adapted to fit in one of the recesses d in the upper side of the bar. Recesses h are also provided on the underside of the arm-rests to engage projections m on the supports j. Metal bands i, b close the slotted ends of the arm rests and front bar and the parts may be swung about the hinged member n to lie in line when not in use.
