Abstract

332,490. Harper, J. Oct. 31, 1929. Door-holders. - A sprag type of door-holder has a slotted pivot hole 3 so that when the sprag is raised to a vertical position with the pivot-pin 4 in the upper part of the slot the sprag will be retained in that position. A foot-lever 11 pivoted on the pin 4 and formed with a cam surface may be used to lift the sprag relative to the pivot-pin 4 and throw it forward so as to cause it to fall into its operative position. The pivot-pin 4 is carried by a bracket formed of a plate 9 bent round a base-plate 8.
