Abstract

331,053. Cockburn & Co., Ltd., M., and Gilroy, J. May 18, 1929. Multiple-way lift valves.-A hot and cold water valve fitting for a combination bath and basin comprises hot and cold water stop valves 20, 21 and a separator valve 6 which moves axially and non-rotatably between opposed valve seats 8 and 10 leading to the bath and basin passages 4 and 2, respectively. The separator valve 6 is operated by a finger cam 13 co-operating with a bearing surface formed by the top of the cap 11, the cam being shaped, as shown, so that under the action of the spring 15 the valve cannot remain in an intermediate position but can only be left with the valve 6 closed upon one or other of the seatings 8, 10.
