C o n t e n s, facilitating access to; lids; opening arrangements.-A case for a watch or other article has the article hinged inside the case and covered by a hinged lid, and the lid and article can be raised one after another by acting on pushes. In an example, the watch j and lid c are hinged as shown, Fig. 9, and are raised by pressing- in pushes g one at each end of the case. Springs between the two pushes ensure the return of the case to its closed condition, but by allowing the winding knob of the watch to rest in a notch q, or by any other arrangement, the watch will remain in an inclined position. The watch and lid are raised by means of pins f, Fig. 4, on lateral arms of both pushes g, which engage in slotted lugs e attached to the watch and lid on each side at the back of the hinge d. The watch is retained in the case until the lid has been raised by a hook n which is pivoted to a wall in the body of the case and which is urged by a flat spring p also fixed to the wall into engagement with notch o' in the watch j. The push controlling the watch can be operated when a boss g<2> on the push controlling the lid meets the hook n and rotates it away from the notch o<1>. The raising movement could be effected by tongues pushing on central lugs attached to the watch and lid.
