Locking nuts. - A spring member 4 enclosed in a groove 1 in the nut has its inner end 6 engaging grooves 8 in the bolt, these grooves being so shaped as to allow the nut to be screwed on but preventing reversed motion. To release the locking device the spring is forced outwards by a. pointed tool passed down a vertical slot in the outer periphery of the nut.
