Locking nuts.-A nut 4 is secured to its bolt by a ratchet-edged washer 2 which is engaged by the radially inturned end of a strip spring 3, the same inturned end also engaging in a recess in the face of the nut. The spring 3 turns with the nut and slips over the ratchet teeth in one direction.
