Abstract

Doors.-In firebox doors of the type described in Specification 262,701. having an aperture controlled by a slidable grid and a canopy which slides into vertical guides behind the door and is open towards the door and furnace so as to deliver air over the crown of the fire, a hinged flap replaces the slidable grid. The flap F when closed rests in an inclined position against a ledge G, and when open can be held in any suitable position, for instance by means of a pulley and chain connected to the hook F<2>.
