Abstract

326,698. Bailey, A. B. April 27, 1929. Road-vehicle signals.-Three stencilled openings in an opaque plate may be selectively brightened by light passing through the openings being reflected by hand-operated mirrors contained in dark coloured chambers fitted behind the plate. The plate 20 forming the front of the casing 15 allows light passing through the openings 21, 22, 23 to be reflected by polished plates 31, 32, 33 when the latter are rotated into a vertical position. The casing is fixed to the windscreen so that the plates 31, 32, 33 normally held horizontally by clips 54 may be operated by the driver. The sides of the three, chambers which are painted a dark colour are illuminated at. night by lamps 39, 40, 41, rotation of one of the plates 31, 32, 33 causing the corresponding opening to appear brighter.
