Abstract

1,128,730. Vehicle rear lighting. SWFSPEZIALFABRIK FUER AUTOZUBEHOER GUSTAV RAU G.m.b.H. 28 June, 1967 [22 July, 1966], No. 29831/67. Heading F4R. The rear light, stop light and flashing indicator light for a motor vehicle or trailer, are arranged one on each side of a reflex reflector formed as a triangle with the point upwards, , to form a unit, one of which is mounted on each side at the rear of the vehicle. The light housing 1 is divided by opaque partitions 2 into spaces 3, 4, 5 for the respective lights, the lamp sockets being mounted in the central space. The housing is closed by a translucent cover provided with refractory elements forming a triangular reflex reflector and with the areas covering the light spaces 3, 4, 5 appropriately coloured. The bottom wall of the cover may be apertured and provided with a replaceable uncoloured sector so that the rear light 10 in the space 5 may also be used to illuminate the vehicle number plate.
