Abstract
324,421. Meiklejohn, J. B., and Meiklejohn, Ltd., J. B. Oct. 31, 1928. Ceiling-roses; sheathing or covering, connection of.-Means for supporting an electric light pendant such as described in Specification 10177/98, [Class 39, Electric lamps &c.], comprises a vertical conduit tube C supported above, and passing through an opening in, the ceiling D, a metal plate E fixed to the ceiling, a tubular member F screwed on the tube C and a dishshaped ceiling plate L supported by a cord grip J screwed on the member F, the ends of the electric leads H, K being passed through apertures G in the member F and connected together in the space between the plates E, L. In a modification, the member F is dispensed with and the conduit tube C is supported so as to project further below the ceiling and is itself provided with the apertures for the passage of the leads. The cord grip J may be replaced by a member provided with a hook or loop from which the pendant is suspended by a chain, and the hook or loop may be covered with insulating material.
