Pendants.-In a pendant electric light fitting in which the electric cable d is relieved of the weight of the lamp and shade by a chain h, cord or the like, the upper end of the chain &c. is attached to the bent apertured ends g<3> of opposite arms g pivotally connected to a gapped ring f clamped between the threaded rose c and ceiling block a, and the lower end is connected to similar arms on a ring f<1> clamped between the shade ring e<3> and a locking ring e<2> on the lamp holder e. Alternatively, the lower end of the chain &c. may be connected directly to the lampholder.
