Projectile fuzes.-Relates to percussion fuzes for grenades, of the kind in which the percussion members 5, 6 are held at safe by an intermediate transversely slidable member 13 pivoted to a cap 15, which is adapted to pull the member 13 off when the grenade is thrown. According to the invention, the articulation between the cap 15 and the member 13 is spaced from the axis of said cap, for example by means of a link 19. The cap 15 is secured in place by a safety pin 16, which is pulled off by a finger ring 17 before the grenade is thrown. The head 4 of the grenade is formed with a central projection 4<1> surrounded by a concave part 4<11>, and holes 18 are formed in the cap to help it to separate from the head 4 of the grenade when this is in flight. The cap then swings out and pulls the safety member 13 off. The percussion members 5, 6 are still held apart by a spring 9 until impact occurs, when the momentum of the members and the concavity of their seats 10, 11 co-operate to bring the members together, whatever the direction of impact. The primer 8 thus fired transmits a flash to a detonator 3 for the main charge 2.
