Abstract

323,280. Bailey & Co., Ltd., J., and Powell, H. G. Oct. 5, 1928. Hasp fastenings; hasp locks. - Box or case fastenings, of the kind comprising a pivoted stirrup or yoke 11 engaging a hook or projection 10<a>, have abutments which prevent the sides of the yoke being forced laterally outwards. The abutments 16<b> may be provided on the sides of the casing 16<a> forming the bearings for the lever 14<a> carrying the yoke 11, Fig. 4, or on the'sides of the lever 14a itself, Fig. 5. Alternatively, the abutments may be constituted by pins or studs riveted to the base 8. A lock may be combined either with the base 8, Fig. 4, and engage a. notch 14<g> on the lever 14<a>, or with the casing 16<a>, Fig. 7, the bolts 12<b> engaging over the side arms of the yoke. The yoke ends within the lever 14<a>, may be burred over.
