Multiple fastenings for trunks; hasp fastenings, which operate auxiliary fastening means, have the hasp plate d extending over and protecting the lock b and the whole of the junction of the lid with the trunk or box e between the auxiliary fastenings c. The hasp d engages a staple g and has a finger grip j, and is preferably triangular in outline. The hasp d is formed or provided with half-round rods which engage curved tongues k on the trunk, &c.
