Abstract

323,075. Griffith, C. C., and Cooper's Mechanical Joints, Ltd. Oct. 25, 1928. Joint-making packing.- The gasket comprises a number of superimposed laminations of metal 1 - - 4, Fig. 3, such as sheet brass or copper. The peripheral edge of the sheet, and the edges of the bolt holes, water passage holes 8, Fig. 2, and cylinder holes 7, are provided with narrow bands 5 of copper or other ductile metal standing above the general surface. The laminations may be held together by pins or tongues.
