Abstract

319,405. Lloyd, A. W. June 23, 1928. Mine props.-A prop is formed of a metal tube 1 deformed at one end to form a portion of a collapsable socket which is completed by a displaceable portion and receives a wooden stump 8. The end of the tube is swaged down at 2 into a semicircular section and a loose jaw 3 of semicircular section is mounted loosely in an aperture 4 at the end of the tube. This jaw may have a wedge-shaped back face at 6 and be adjusted by a sliding ring 7.
