Abstract

318,497. Linde, H. Sept. 3, 1928, [Convention date]. Scavenger carts.-In scavenger carts in which a flap is provided to close the opening in the cover to which the dust bin is connected, the flap is connected by a plate to arms rotatably connected to the cart body and controlling the cover in such a manner that during emptying of the dust bin a closing is effected between the plate and a circular part of the cart body. The cover 3 is hinged about a pin 2 and is provided with an opening 4 and with holes 6 in which the dust bin is suspended. A flap 8 closes the opening 4 and is hinged on a pin 9 and carries a plate 10 connected rotatably with arms 12 by means of a pin 11, the plate 10 having a beading 14 adapted to slide on a circular part 15 of the cart body 1. When the cover 3 is pressed back by the dust bin the flap 8 and consequently the plate 10 move as shown to prevent dust escaping during emptying of the dust bin 5.
