Tip-buckets; vehicle fittings.-A tip-wagon or tip-bucket is provided with a lid or an enclosing casing secured to the non-tipping support a, and the casing may form a delivery shoot or it may be pivoted to serve both as feed shoot and delivery shoot. As shown in Fig. 1 the body 16, which may be tipped by worm gearing, is enclosed within a fixed casing 17 provided with hinged, sliding, or other lids 20 and a bottom discharge outlet 19. In Fig. 3, the casing 17 is pivoted and the discharge outlet 19 can be brought to the position shown in broken lines for filling the body 16. In Fig. 4, a casing 17 with outlet 19 is fixed to the hanger 30 of a tip-bucket 16 which is normally held in position within the casing by a catch 34 and is inverted by gravity or by a handle 37, the movement being limited by a stop 39 in the casing. In a modification, not shown, the casing 17 is pivoted as in Fig. 3. As shown in Fig. 6, a hood 43 fixed to the hanger 30 of a tip-bucket comprises a fixed portion 45 and a sliding portion 46. The part 46 is moved by a handle 47 and engages a stop rod 149 in the closed position. When opened, as shown in broken lines, lugs 48 engage stops on the hanger. In modifications, Figs. 8 and 9 (not shown), the part 46 of the lid is hinged to the part 45, or the whole of the lid is pivoted on the hanger or on the trunnions of the bucket.
