Abstract
266,999. Tonks, W. H., and Sparks, W. Aug. 27, 1926. Catches, gravity, for doors and the like comprise a member d<1> with side lugs e engaging an undercut hook f, carried by a handle d mounted on trunnions c in a bracket b. The lug e automatically engages under the hook f when the door is closed and is retained by the weight of the handle d. The centre line of the handle is disposed a little to the left of the trunnions c so that the lug e falls a little, to rest snugly in the undercut part of the hook.
