Abstract

318,236. Obermaier, O. J., and Obermaier et Cie. Aug. 31. 1928, [Convention date]. Treating substances with liquids.-To obviate handling between liquid treatment and hydroextraction, fibres x wound on perforated tubes 17 are held in the perforated walls of a container 4 which has a bearing 6 for supporting it firstly in a closed dye &c. chamber 24 having reversible connections to a pump 28, and subsequently in the chamber of the hydro-extractor. The container 4 has a cover 8, which carries an internal filing-piece 7, for reducing the quantity of fluid necessary, and a screwed rod 11 for securing the container 4 in the hydro-extractor. Nipples' 16 in the perforations in the walls of the container 4 carry perforated tubes 15 and also flanges 18 against which the fibre on the tubes 17 is hell by flanges 20 held by spring pieces 22 to the inner tubes. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3) (a) states that the apparatus may be used for treating other fibres, e.g. cotton raw stock, by removing the tubes 15. This subjectmatter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
