Abstract
316,382. Lyne, R. J. June 13, 1928. Moulding walls and ceilings in situ.-Walls and ceilings of the type formed with surface battens on to which are fixed sheets of vegetable or mineral fibre leaving a cavity between the wall and sheets to provide for heat insulation and to prevent condensation, are cast in concrete with the battens positioned on the shutters so that they stand out from the wall surface on removal of the shutters. The battens c are supported by non-corrodible anchoring elements h between the flanges of the panel shutters b, a set-back joining panel d being also disposed between the shutters and secured to them by connections c and wedges f. The wall is cast between the outer shutters a and the internal shutters b and, after setting, these shutters are removed and the fibre sheets are secured to the faces of the outstanding battens. The ceilings are cast on further shutters b<1> which support battens c<1>, Fig. 4.
