Circular-saw machines. - A wood-working tool such as a saw mounted in a yoke 24 which is supported by a vertical bolt 29 from a carriage 20 movable along an arm 10, and is moved vertically by a hand-operated cam 37 engaging a recess in the bolt 29. Pins 28 lock the yoke to the carriage when the yoke is in its depressed position shown in Fig. 3, but when the yoke is raised the pins 28 are disengaged and the yoke can be adjusted about a vertical axis. The arm 10 can be swung around a post 11 which is adjustable vertically by means of a screw 17. The carriage 20 may slide on bearing rollers 40 inside the arm 10, mounted on pins 43 on spacing strips 44, and an adjustable wedge strip 46 may be provided for taking up wear. The carriage may be clamped in the arm 10 by means of bolts 51, 52 actuated by a cam 55, or vertically moving bolts (not shown) arranged to press on the lower flanges 41 may be used.
