Abstract
315,377. Acro Akt.-Ges. July 13, 1928, [Convention date]. Casting processes.-In oil engines of the self-ignition type having an auxiliary combustion chamber formed by a shell h, which is cast into the piston, head or walls of the cylinder, at its edges k, a pressed sheet metal sleeve n, contacting with the edge k, is provided to facilitate the casting process, the sand core being thus limited to the part below the line p. The bottom edges of the sleeve n may be connected by a diaphragm which forms an insulating chamber below the shell h and is perforated, to equalize the pressures on the two sides. and provided with a depression or elevation which acts' as a core bottom. A throttling member m is pressed into the shell h before the casting process.
