Abstract

File cutting.-Files are cut by a chisel which, in each operation, cuts the front face of a new tooth and bends over the tip of the previous tooth. A double bevelled chisel 2 is used. The chisel may be provided with an adjustable member 2<11>, Fig. 2, to give the required form to the tooth tip. The part 2<11> may be mounted to slide on the part 2<1> against spring pressure.
