Capsule closures. - A fireextinguisher is sealed by a thimble-shaped capsule having an initially-curved portion which is flattened so as to be extended into an undercut recess in the filling orifice of the extinguisher. as shown, the capsule a has a curved flange b. The latter is flattened into the recess d of the orifice c by a shoulder f on a punch e which is provided with a spigot g serving to centre, and prevent buckling of, the capsule. In a modification, the flange is flat and the closed end of the capsule has ah annular beading which is flattened into an undercut recess. In another modification, a curved flange and an annular beading give a double seal. In another modification, the base of the capsule is dome-shaped.
