Capsule closure.s for bottles &c. of the type comprising a metal cap with depending ears which are rolled at their lower. ends to accommodate a securing ring and seal &c. The ends 6 of the securing ring 5 are cranked outwardly to engage in parallel holes in a seal 8 and tension the ring. An outwardly directed flange 9 is formed on a skirt to form an additional support for the tensioning ring.
