Abstract
312,314. Akt.-Ges. Brown, Boveri, et Cie. May 24, 1928, [Convention date]. Drawings to Specification. Motor power plant.-In a steam power plant comprising a reciprocating engine and an exhaust steam turbine placed behind it and geared to it, the exhaust turbine is provided with one or more bye-pass valves so that the power distribution between the units may be regulated. The valves may be operated by hand or automatically in accordance with the initial pressure in the turbine, or in accordance with the setting of the admission valve of the reciprocating engine. In a modification the turbine has an impulse section with a variable number of nozzles.
