Transmitting power.-A motor drives a compressor which supplies air or gas to an air engine at a pressure less than 3 atmospheres above atmospheric pressure. The air engine may work with full admission. The prime motor may be an internal combustion engine charged by the driven compressor or by an independent compressor, the two compressors delivering at the same pressure. The circulation may be closed or open, and a number of compressors may be used in series or parallel.
