Abstract
216,148. F÷rster'sche Maschinen-u- Armaturen-Fabrik Akt.-Ges. May 16, 1923, [Convention date]. Transmitting power.-Compressed air motors are supplied with air from a motor-compressor unit, the exhaust from the motor being led back to the compressor after passing around the compressor or an intermediate cooler in its casing. The apparatus may be employed in mine work, when dust is likely to be present. Air from the compressor a, which may be driven by an electromotor, flows through a rigid or flexible tube b to a compressed air motor c, the exhaust from which flows to a tank e from which it passes to a jacket f surrounding the compressor which it enters through a suction valve g and leaves after compression, by a discharge valve h. A safety-valve i, and an inlet valve k, covered by a filter for admission of air to compensate for leakage, are provided. No reservoir need be used between the compressor and the motor. In a modification, the tank e may also be dispensed with, the valves i, k being located in the compressor jacket.
