Permanently-applied. - Each warp beam braking chain G is connected directly or through a spring F with a bar E provided with a series of holes to receive a pin e, whereby it is connected to a lever D pivoted at d<2> to a bracket A secured to the loom frame. The lever D is depressed by foot to tension the braking chain and is held in its adjusted position by ratchet teeth a<1>. The lever may be reinforced by a part d' and the bar E may pass through a slot, in the bracket.
