Abstract

Permanently -applied- The braking chain &c. 2 anchored to a fixed bracket 3 is wrapped round the warp or yarn beam and is connected by a spring 4 to a bar 5 slidable in a flattened sleeve-like guide 6 on a bracket 7. The bar 5 has two series of vertical holes to receive pins 11, 12 which abut respectively against the lower serrated edge of the bracket and a serrated lever 13. The tension can be released by first depressing the bar 5 by means of the lever 13 and then removing the pin 11, which can afterwards be replaced in any desired hole. The releasing levers at each end of the beam may be connected together for simultaneous operation.
