Abstract

310,440. Rose, A. E. Jan. 25, 1928. No Patent granted (Sealing fee not paid). Joints with yielding outer part compressed.- The adjacent ends b of two hose &c. pipes are coupled by inserting a metal liner a into the ends of the pipes and compressing the pipes thereon by an external sleeve d which is provided at its ends with longitudinal saw-cuts &c. and also with tapered screwthreads to receive contracting nuts c as shown. Fig. 3 shows the invention applied to the' connection of a hose pipe to a flanged metal pipe e, while Fig. 5 illustrates the jointing together of three hose pipes.
